# What the member hears

> The recovery call from your member's side, and what happens when they accept or decline.

The AI calls using your campaign's existing script tone and voice. The call therefore sounds consistent with the rest of your calling. It just opens by acknowledging the cancellation. If you configured a win-back offer, it may also offer the discount when the conversation calls for it.

Before hyzl treats the offer as accepted, the AI asks the member one plain confirmation question. The question names the concrete outcome. For example, apply the discount and un-cancel the plan now, or text a link to come back later. Agreeing to a text or a link is not consent to un-cancel. It only means the member wants the link.

* **If the member gives explicit consent to un-cancel now**, hyzl un-cancels their subscription. This also requires the AI to have confirmed it reached the right member. hyzl applies the discount coupon directly to their account in Stripe. The discount applies once, to their next invoice. Nothing further is required from you. The coupon is visible in your Stripe dashboard as soon as the call ends.
* **If the member declines, or does not answer**, the cancellation proceeds as originally scheduled. Nothing changes in your billing account. An unanswered call can be re-dialed automatically. See [Automatic Retries](/docs/revenue-recovery/the-call/automatic-retries).

If the member only wants the link, hyzl changes nothing on the account. The same is true when the AI did not confirm the right member. hyzl texts the member a link to come back on their own. Nothing on the account changes unless the member uses the link. If that text fails to send, hyzl flags the recovery for you under [Needs attention](/docs/revenue-recovery/analytics/overview#needs-attention).

Rarely a member accepts but hyzl cannot complete the save automatically. That happens when, for example, the subscription had already fully ended before the call finished. hyzl then flags it for you to complete manually. See [Needs attention](/docs/revenue-recovery/analytics/overview#needs-attention) in Analytics.

If the subscription had already fully ended before the call, there is nothing left to un-cancel. The AI instead texts a resubscribe link right after the call. See [Resubscribe Links](/docs/revenue-recovery/the-call/resubscribe-links).

Every recovery call also counts as a normal AI Calling call. It uses one calling credit, the same as any other campaign call.
