Revenue Recovery works with a billing account you already administer. It
doesn’t create a new Stripe or RevenueCat account for you. It connects to the
one you use today.
How it works
- Connect your billing provider from the Integrations page. Connecting is all that page does. Everything you configure afterwards lives on the Revenue Recovery Workflows page. See Connect Stripe or Connect RevenueCat
- hyzl creates a cancellation recovery workflow for you, using your existing call settings (script tone, voice, and so on). It then points you at Workflows to review it. See Create a workflow
- When a member cancels their subscription (and their access hasn’t ended yet), hyzl calls them within about a minute
- If they accept your win-back offer, hyzl un-cancels the subscription and applies the discount, which is visible in your billing dashboard right away
- If they decline, or do not answer, the cancellation proceeds as normal and nothing changes in your billing account
- hyzl tracks every call, and the revenue it recovers, in Analytics
Requirements
- A Stripe account you administer with subscription billing already set up, or a RevenueCat account for App Store / Play Store subscriptions
- A commission-billing card on file for the recovery fee. You add it on the Integrations page. New Stripe accounts need it before recovery calls start
- Members need a phone number on file with your billing provider. Members without one aren’t called. See Phone Numbers
- Only voluntary cancellations trigger a call. Subscriptions that lapse because a payment failed are not included, since a call can’t fix a billing problem
- At most one call per cancellation
Members whose subscription cancels immediately (rather than at the end of
the billing period), or whose trial lapses straight into cancellation, are
called too. See Resubscribe
Links, which works a
little differently since there’s no active subscription left to simply
un-cancel.
What it costs
Every recovery call counts as a normal AI Calling call and uses one calling credit, the same as any other campaign call. On top of that, hyzl takes a recovery fee on revenue it recovers for you: 20% of what’s recovered. Your hyzl plan sets that fee. hyzl invoices it once a month to a commission-billing card you add on the Integrations page. New Stripe accounts add that card before their recovery calls start. To keep the fee fair, hyzl measures how much of the recovery it actually caused. It holds back a small share of cancelling members, about 10%, from every call and text, then compares them against the members it contacted. The fee is charged on the caused share that comparison proves, not on every member who happens to come back. These held-back members are never contacted. This runs continuously in the background, separate from any Lift test you start yourself.Where everything lives
Revenue Recovery has its own section in the portal sidebar with four pages:- Recovery Analytics is the report. It carries revenue recovered, the recovery funnel, why members leave, and the proof behind each save. See Analytics
- Workflows holds one recovery workflow per connected provider. Each one shows its win-back offer, its triggers, its live status, and its results. See Create a workflow
- Activity holds two logs, newest first: one for members who cancelled, one for people who signed up and never paid. See Activity Log
- Inbound Settings holds your recovery callback number and how it’s answered. See Inbound Settings
